Awards Night - 15th November 2011

After 2 months of practices, it is finally over. I know how that empty feeling feels. It was ingrained in each and everyone of us for the past 2 months. We were all rehearsing so hard. Memorizing lines, remembering every movement and every step is not simple but CLDRians of 2011 - EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU DID YOU! YOU have made the school so proud of you guys.

I want to express my thanks to each and everyone of you for cooperating and working with the Centre. Good job students. ALL GLORY GOES TO GOD!

So, what is so special about our Awards Night then? We celebrated the Centre's 10th Anniversary. I found out that we were the second centre to be opened 10 years ago. The people behind the starting of the Centre truly has great vision. Many students have come and go but the CLDRian spirit never fades of in their hearts. Many lives have been moulded and guided into God's principle as well.

We want to thank our Lord Jesus Christ that the Centre has grown from strength to strength and it is all by the grace and mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ. GLORY TO GOD!

My dear CLDRians (present and past),

It is such a joy to always celebrate happy, joyous occasions and it makes everyone happy. I am very happy that our Awards Night is coming right up on 15th November 2011. I am sure all of you are looking forward with much anticipation. This year's celebration will be different from previous years. Why? CLDR IS 10 YEARS OLD!!! Yeah, by the grace of God, HE has brought us through the past 10 years. I may not be one of the pioneer in founding this school, but I do sense joy as I see the hand of God in guiding each and every student that has come and gone from this centre. We are proud you came to CLDR be it for short term or long term. It is by God's appointment that you have been here and no coincidence.

The Centre has grown since the day CLDR started and grown from strength to strength. Students, you are the ones that make up the Centre. The Centre without you guys is nothing. So be a proud CLDRian. Take pride in your Centre.

Last but not least, ex-CLDRian, visit your alma mater. See you guys around.

Field Trip - 7th October 2011

We had a great Field Trip to Tugu Negara, National Planeterium, KL Bird Park and Tunku Abdul Rahman Monument. It is a very educational and informative trip,

This is one of the better trips that we have been. Seriously educational and yet enjoying. Hmmm....in this sense we have achieve our objective. I love Tunku's Monument. It is so awesome to be able to see the car he drove in, his residency, his office and even his golf buggy. They have preserved this place very well.....you can step into the balcony that Tunku had his afternoon tea. Amazing place.

KL Bird Park is also awesome. Lots of beautiful birds, parrots, etc etc. Look at the pictures and you will know why I say the birds are beautiful.

National Planetarium is a place to awe at the wonder of God's creation. Seriously, if you understand the universe, its solar system, the galaxies and stuff like that,......you cannot help but thank God for his glorious creation.

HELLO AGAIN CLDRians!!!

Time flies, time flies. We are down to 5 more weeks and that's it.....academic year is over. We are all so occupied with what we have to do everyday and sometimes we really forget to do the ACTUAL thing that we are supposed to be doing. Have we prioritize wisely?

In the wink of an eye, another Awards Night is coming our way. We are once again busy with all the presentation. But having said that, let us all make it an awesome night....different from the rest of the awards night....why......CLDR is 10 years old...10 awesome gracious years from our Lord Jesus Christ.

I cannot thank God enough how I joined CLDR 6 years ago. Everyday in CLDR is a day of grace by our Lord Jesus Christ...impacting lives is my greatest motivation to stay on.

CLDRians, give your best as we end the academic year.

Last Quarter of the Year - 2011

Hey guys....wondering if you have been evaluating your academic progress so far??? This is something that we cannot do for you. I hope you will seriously look into it. You want to end the year with great achievement.....at least you can give a pat on your shoulder and said, "Yes, I have done my best for this year".

We are also finishing our Habitudes Classes and I know so far the lessons taught have been very encouraging. I know I have personally gained and be able to apply some principles as well. The last lesson being building Discipline Bridge in every aspect of our life. Remember, discipline is not discipline until it has become a way of life....Gambanteh...persevere in building your discipline bridges and you will get there some day.

Sorry, am not able to find pictures of our Merdeka Month so let me continue searching and I will get it posted up soon. In the meantime, continue to work hard. Cheers :)

Merdeka Month Project

Month of August is the month we celebrate Malaysia's Independence Day. Malaysia will be 54 years old come 31st August. As we reminisce history, we have our Father of Independence to thank, Tunku Abdul Rahman.

I take pride that CLDRians work on this project come August every year. This year is no exception. Students work on the animals found in Malaysia and thus they presented : Sang Kancil, Hornbill, Crocodile, Tiger, Penyu and Orang Utan. To those who really put in the effort, you know your effort really do pay off. I would like to make special mention of Damian and Matthew who put in tremendous effort into their Hornbill which is lifesize with actual weight as well. You guys did a good job indeed. We were all mesmerized by what you have done - the hornbill was truly awesome.

We are also into the last 3 days of the quarter before we break off for a week of break. I personally look forward to the holidays. It has been a long 11 weeks this quarter and I need the break - to be recharge so that I can finish off the next quarter which is another 11 weeks with great gusto.

I thank God for grace, mercy, strength and love given to all teachers to carry us through another challenging quarter. God is so good, so faithful and true to His Word. Let us continue to stay faithful to Him.

Students of Today

Thoughts have crossed my mind about behavior of students nowadays. The thought of it frightens me. Students are so up front with their behavior that they do not care anymore who they are dealing with ...they do not know what it means to be submissive to authority. What a scary thought. Students say what they like...whether it has anything to do with vulgarity or to the point of profanity. What is this generation becoming?

As I ponder further, I believe many youngsters do not grow up with right values from the start. How sad! They follow what the world is teaching them i.e learning from movies, peers, wrong groups etc.

Parents expect teachers to do miracle when we only see them for about 5 hours a day. What an irony! Parents, stop shirking your responsibilities. How your child grow up reflects the values of the individual family. It saddens my heart to see how a young life goes thwarted due to wrong values and wrong influence.

Having said all these, I thank God, our Heavenly Father who shows so much grace and mercy to us despite the many times when I reflect how I have misbehave too. I thank God that He loves us so much. Today, another soul gave his life to the Lord - what a joy!

This joy gives me the motivation to keep serving God in this challenging ministry but a rewarding one. Praise God.

Hi all.....the continuation of the Habitudes Class on Emotional Fuel has been really good. How important it is to surround ourselves with the right people who can encourage us, help us, guide us so that we can be great leaders. Do not lead out of need. I have been very encouraged with each lesson but I would like to remind all of us that the application of the lesson is more important then just knowing it. So, do apply what you have learnt

We have just completed our English Month that kick off with Spelling Bee with the following students as champion representing their own class :

The day that we had our spelling bee brings back memories of my SPM days....before going into the exam hall, there were students all around busying with last minute studies and trying to cramp in as much information as we can. That was exactly the same scene that I saw when I first step into school that morning. What a difference!!!!! During break time, many of you were still trying to cramp in as much last minute memory work as possible and right down to lunch time. I know many of you have put in the effort and I applaud you for that. Keep that spirit moving.

Today, we had our Advertisement Project such as groups trying to convince the audience why they should buy their products. We have products like RIO Mints, Wii, Spirulina, Remote Control Waitering Service, Strepsils and ENORK. Thank you leaders for putting in the effort with your team mates.

Up next will be our Merdeka Month Project that will take us through another 3 weeks. It looks like you are going to get busy the next 3 weeks and busier after that as we prepare for Awards Night.............TIME FLIES!!!! Yes, another Awards Night that is coming up.

Oops...before that, we have another Field Trip to look forward to and another report to write before we total up all your points. Yes....busy, busy, busy right through the end 2011

Let us end with a BIG BANG.....do not forget your Lifepac work in between all these busy happenings. So do give yourself a big push for all the busyness that is coming up.

Hi all.......just a quick update of what has been happening. Okay....let us see what we have been doing since the last update???

As far as Centre is concern, well we are doing fine. Some students are working really hard to achieve their lifepac targets for this quarter. Despite the fact that we broke off one week for Camp, students were still able to catch up. That just shows that with much determination, you guys can do it.

Yes, talking about Camp.............we had a good camp in Frasers' Hill minus the journey. The weather was beautiful, the games were great and above all else the speakers gave good messages as well. I noticed that students were able to bond much better as they have more time in their hands. They were not so packed with activities hence allowing them for time for fellowship. Even the pastors had a great time of fellowship. I do have camp photos but will not post up for now.

We are already halfway through the year and time is just FLYING!!!!. Gosh! The next half of the year will be busy for all students as they prepare for the English Month, Merdeka Project, another Field Trip report and the highlight of the year will be AWARDS NIGHT!

This year's AWARDS NIGHT will take on a different note. Yeah! We will be celebrating our 10th Anniversary and hoping that all ex-CLDRians will be able to come back and join us for this event.

Quarter 2 Week 6

My dear students, we are already into Week 6 of the 2nd quarter. How time flies! However, I do noticed that some of you are still lacking behind in your Lifepac Test. May I encourage you to continue to move forward to hit the target goals of the quarter. It is never too late. There is still some time to catch up. As I always say :End your quarter on a high note and with a big bang. You will be so proud of your own achievement.

As we are all preparing for Sports Day, let us also do our very best. In all that you do, do it well and your ultimate best. I know most of you look forward to Sports Day for whatever reason there is.....for challenges or even just catching up with friends from other Centres. Let's cheer each other on.

Okay, now for some review of the Habitude Classes. The last I recall was the topic on "Thermostat and Thermometer". Well, are you a thermostat or a thermometer? Take some time to evaluate your life and know that as leaders, you should be taking on the role of thermostat and not thermometer. Make a change in your life. Be somebody who can influence people's life in a good way.

Be of good cheer and do your best.

Hi all......Easter came and gone. I felt so good during this time. The Love of God was just so overwhelming. The following are lyrics to the song entitled :"UNRESERVED LOVE" which meant so much to me :

Hi all...okay...let's recall....what events had happened since I last blog??? Yeah...you guys were preparing for the Young Scientist Month and had the presentation. Some of your inventions were pretty impressive : Air Pressure Potato Canon, Inclinometer, Electric Circuit, Sundial, Bernoulli's Principle and fruit batteries. I was so engrossed with your invention that I totally forgot to take pictures. Urgg!!! Thank you guys....you all did a good job. Keep it up considering the fact that this is our first year on it. I am sure you will improve tremendously next year.

Next up, the Habitudes classes have been awesome. What have we learnt : The Art of Self-Leadership. Quoting from Dr Tim Elmore : "The Iceberg theory reminds us that leaders must lead themselves before leading others. The Starving Baker reminds us that leaders must feed themselves before feeding others. In the theory of Stock-taking, we learnt that leaders cannot perform well if they don't see the strengths inside of them. Find the GOLD in each of us...the God-given strengths" Way to go people....we are all getting to be better leaders as we apply these principles into our lives.

Then we also went for Field Trip, right? Okay...Field Trip was to Jelita Ostrich Farm, Rattan Weaving and Sunflower Rice Factory. Will post up some pictures in my next post.

Dear Readers,

I am amazed at how this blog had attracted some of you. May I then take this opportunity to thank readers who aren't CLDRians and had taken the time to read this blog : Xia Xia Ni, Terima Kasih, Thank you very much.

CLDRians, after the first lesson on Iceberg Theory, we are now into Starving Baker. Isn't it so true that we tend to forget to feed ourselves before feeding others? That means, we gotta equip ourselves, young people. Do not be deprived intellectually, emotionally and spiritually. We need these for personal growth. So feed yourselves. Decide what book you are going to read to improve yourself. Decide what kind of shows you are going to watch to make you more knowledgeable. Be very cautious of what kind of games you play. Do something that can build you up that you can be ready to serve others.

Ok....now...all the festive seasons are over i.e. Christmas, New Year, Chinese New Year and finally the last was Valentine's Day, we can finally settle down with lesser distractions and be able to fully concentrate on our work.

First off, CLDRians, may I remind you of your Young Scientist Month Project that is due soon. So do give of your best effort for your team. Thereafter, we will be concentrating on physical activities and let us get ready to sweat it out. In no time, you will realize it is the first term of the school holidays which is coming up soon.....so fast yah.

Considering the fact that we will be having our term break soon, people, do buckle up on your lifepac work and end the term well. We will all have a good one week of term break after that. Therefore, give of your best.

Having covered the first lesson of Habitudes, I am sure many of you Seniors have been blessed, isnt't it. Do not forget to process what you have learnt. This is the most important. We hope you will be able to apply it to your life so that you can be groomed to be a great leader in whatever task that you do. Shine it out there. Be a proud CLDRian.

VALENTINE'S DAY - 14th February 2011

First off......this blog is not dead. The writer is just pre-occupied with so many things in her life. Pretty much some emotional turbulence and hence blog has been left on it's own for a while.

You guys must be thinking why we are touching on Valentine's Day? Somehow, this year Valentine's Day stay pretty strong in my heart. After all, every year, Valentine's Day has kind of been the same year after year. Anyways, we all know what love can do. What happens when one is without love? Don't we suffer from deprivation of love one time or another? So those who have been much loved, treasure the moments and share your love to people around you who lack love. I suppose this is the least you can do. I quote "People do not want to know how much you know, but people wants to know how much you care"

In case you have not noticed, we are already entering our 7th week of schooling and that leaves us with 3 more weeks before we have break ......how have you been progressing in your lifepac work? Remember, I spoke about Priorities and Decision Making? Well, you need to evaluate and make sure there is progress and not stay stagnant. So do some evaluation and catch up if you need to.

Start of a new year and a new decade

3rd January 2011 - the official starting date of all Malaysian schools and the same goes to CLDR. As I walked into the Centre, much excitement, chattering, feeling of lost etc were in the air. Students were happy to be able to meet up with each other after the holiday break. However, some were not looking forward to school at all. Well, that's the way it is. I cannot have 100% of student being excited about school.

So, we start off the day with the Lord - we sang a song and did devotion. It is always a good thing to start off the day by committing our day to the Lord. When we learn to commit our day to the Lord, we are saying, "God, you take over - have control of our day", Our day will be awesome because we have God who will guide us through our LPT work and giving us wisdom and direction in the areas of our LPT work, building good ties with friends and learning to care for each other (afterall we are not a big centre). Therefore, we should all have the mindset of working together to build each other up throughout this new academic.

I look forward to see better and higher achievement from all students. To all students in CLDR : have the BEST YEAR of your life and enjoy yourself every minute and every second you are in CLDR.

Awesome Awards Night 2010 - 20th November

As students start streaming in at 5pm, you could see how beautifully each one was dressed. As the time draw nearer, anxiety starts to slowly creeeeeep in. Yes, it is that time of the year again. CLDR Awards Night 2010. Another schooling year has come and gone. How time flies, isn't it?

As the years go by, I have become so nostalgic over events that has come and gone in the wink of an eye. A lesson for all of us to learn : DO NOT WASTE TIME!

We have the privilege of having Pastor Kevin to join us for the evening as well as an AOP International Representative. Awesome right? We started off the evening with a painting drawn by 6 students of a picture of Jesus - who lived, who died and rose again on the third day! Throughout the evening, God's presence and guidance was with us and in every item that was presented by students. We want to tell everyone present that night that we have a GREAT GOD through the presentation - from the painting of Jesus' picture, a pantomime, a hip hop dance, a "DO RIGHT" dance and a finale of "THE LORD'S PRAYER".

CLDRians, you did very well and teachers and pastoral staffs were truly impressed with what you have done. Keep up the good spirit of unity amongst each other. UNITED WE STAND STRONG!

It is time for all the updates. Recently, CLDR went on a Field Trip to Tg. Sepat and it was a great trip. Who says Tg. Sepat is a place for OLD FOLKS???? Far from it. We all had such an enjoyable time.

Seniors got to do something they cannot find in KL - PUKAT TARIK ( Traditional Fishing). Having to tread through muddy water was quite an experience. My feet was buried at least 1 feet deep and I was stuck till Jason Chia came to my rescue....thanks Jason. Then I had Jeremy to walk back with me to dry land. What a tiring walk in the NOON! In the end, most of us had to walk barefooted because all our sandals and slippers were all stuck in mud.

Then all the students did a treasure hunt around Tg Sepat town. By now, all the students know Tg Sepat better than all the teachers.

Besides this, we had a great time eating the famous Tg Sepat Pau, drinking our favorite tea and coffee, eating seafood lunch and buying lots of stuff as well. Wow......fantastic.

Right at the bottom, you will also see some pictures for Awards Night practices. Yes, Awards Night is round the corner and CLDRians are working hard towards this. We all know it is going to be an exhilarating evening. Go, go, go.........CLDRians.....it is that time of the year to collect all your awards. So do work hard to end the year well.

Time flies! Time flies! We are already into the 3rd week of the new quarter. Last week's attendance in Sunergeo was bad. Ya, many students were down with flu and fever and thus I only have just slight more than half of the class. Sad :( Those who have been absent, do try to catch up when you come back this week.

SCHOOL IS IN - Another 11 weeks

Yeah...........we all start our 3rd quarter on 21st June 2010. Another 11 weeks to go. I look forward to the next quarter. I know all of you CLDRians are as well. With new quarter, we all set new goals and new challenges. So get on the challenge CLDRians. All teachers look forward to your great achievement this quarter.

One highlight for this quarter is the CLDR Homeschooler's Camp coming up in 3 weeks....we are all in for an Adventurous Camp this round - doing away with all the comfort and just go all out to have a great time.

After this quarter we will all be preparing for AWARDS NIGHT!!! Can you believe it? Time passes by so fast and we all have to get our brains cracking on what we want to do for AWARDS NIGHT. Do give your suggestions.

In the meantime, study hard this quarter and give your ultimate best. Challenge yourself and you can say at the end of the quarter that you have given your best shot.

Go, go, go CLDRians........I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS ME!

School Holidays - YEAH!!!

Dear Readers

School holidays are in - but it really does not matter what holidays. So long as there is a holiday, it is a welcome break from the normal routine. I welcome this school holidays with a big smile. This has been a long awaited holiday for me.

For a start, I am going to Cyberjaya Park with 200 kids for a FUN IN THE SUN- enjoying half a day with children with many organized games for them. FUN, FUN , FUN.

Then, I am just going to relax and laze around. Have not been able to do this for a while. Then I am going to indulge in books which I have postponed reading. Then I am going to visit friends whom I have not met for a while,

Then I will be going for a church camp and then end the holidays with a visit to my hometown.

I hope CLDRians, you will also have at least some plans on how you are going to spend your holidays- I hope not only facebooking, onlining, CCs and stuff like that. Do spend your time wisely and at the end of the holiday, you can say that you have truly enjoyed your holidays very well.

Ah.........the JOY of May 1st...where you don't have to wake up to the sound of alarm. It has been a long while. Just knowing that you have the whole day to yourself and doing things that you like or rather have been procrastinating - that is JOY.

I know May 1st falls on a Saturday - but this Saturday is different. All activities have been canceled and this is the JOY of having free time to myself.

The JOY to know that I can spend time with family members - just being together - that is JOY.
The JOY to know that I can celebrate a friend's 50th birthday tonight - that is JOY.

Dear CLDRians,

Sorry for being absent from this blog since last Field Trip. Well, as far as Centre is concerned, students have been up to mischief and I am saddened by what some of you did!!

For a start, we have 3 students who just decided to go to their "place of makan" on days where they are not supposed to. Therefore, consequences : DETENTION TILL THE END OF THE QUARTER!!!

Then another 2 student just decided to have a "quick makan" AND skive to cybercafe on hours where they are NOT suppose to!!!! Consequences : NOT ALLOWED TO GO OUR FOR LUNCH!!!

Then there is a student who decided to "CORRUPT" the school computer and he finds it a thrill!!!!

People, if you think this is FUN, FUNNY - you BETTER THINK TWICE OR THRICE!!!!. You are heading for a bad testimony when you leave the CENTRE!!!

These are just some NONSENSE THAT you all have been up to and we are still tolerating and praying for each and everyone of you who are involved in this.

What can I say? What can I do? Sigh :(

Anyways, besides all these, please be reminded that you are already half way through the quarter and some of you really need to buckle up on your Lifepac Test - try to achieve the target that you have set. Be diligent in your ways and not a slugged - learn from the ways of the ants. Remember the story that Teacher Mok shared during chapel on the ants and grasshopper? Each time you think you are slagging, remember to learn the ways of the ants.

Proverbs 6:6, the Bible states, “Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise.” Have you ever considered the “ways” of the ant?

Hello CLDR students...............some of you guys have been bugging me to update blog and here it is. First of all.............THANK GOD IT IS HOLIDAYS!!!!!!! Best part of being a teacher and a student.....agree right?

We all ended the quarter with a round of Badminton tournament. Students played by color group as well as individual..........it was a good match as far as I observed from Juniors as I was the umpire for Seniors. Here are some random pictures taken from a phone.......not bad la.

Moving on from BadmintonTournament, we went for Field Trip on 11th March 2010. We gathered at 730am (MOST students were punctual) and headed for BOMBA (Fire Brigade Station) at Sri Hartamas. I must say this place is FUN!!!! There were a lot of interactions here between the firemen and students. We were all taught the techniques of preventing ourselves from being caught by fire and stuff like that la. Students had the chance to wear the firemen suit, ride in the fire engine and even went up on a "gondola". The firemen gave a demonstration followed by students demonstrating it. That was some practical lesson. Looking at the pictures, you will know how attentive they were listening to the fireman speaking.

From the fire-brigade, we moved on to a place call...............KL Tower............check out some panaromic view of KL. KL looks beautiful.............look at some pictures below. These pictures are taken from my handphone. The official photographer (Matthew Lu) has not released the pictures to me yet.

From KL Tower, we went to Aquaria, KLCC................seeing live corals and beautiful fishes..........reminded me of God's creation..............

Then on the last day, we had a school party............we had a special food made by Michelle who hailed all the way from New York, USA..........she made us this"Candy Apple" - Halloween Food". We were all thrilled by this. ..........Nice...........thanks Michelle.........

Hello everybody..........it has been sometime I blogged. Well, it has been the CNY holidays. Was all in the mood to celebrate and no mood for any blogging. Anyways, since I took some pictures, I thought I will update you guys.

I see students working hard to finish well this quarter...... at least I see that in Sunergeo. Competition is on.......grrrrrrrrrrreat. However, there are some really lame students who will sit in front of me and "kacau" me all the time........ Look at the pictures and see who they are.

Have also been doing some soul searching...........have I been the teacher I ought to be? Being a Christian carries a heavy responsibility. I am not an ordinary teacher. I am a Christian teacher and I ought, I should be doing my ultimate best as a Christian teacher. I am serving a GREAT GOD who also has very high standards......so I strive to achieve God's standard. Well, all I can say is that I can only do it by the grace of God. I have been disappointed by some students as well but I suppose this is part and parcel of being a teacher. Some students bring me joy, some diasppointment, and some with glimmer of hope - in the hope that they will strive to be a better and improve student

The Badminton Tournament commences today and next week will be the Finals. So far, the usual few...........Lok Kin, Lok Hong, Thong Hiong, Peyedro, Jason, Matthew, Ashley, Lydia and many other Juniors are in the finals. The outcome will be made known next week when we see the Final CLDR Badminton Tournament.

Team Leaders, do encourage your team members to move on and strive to win for your group. There will be many more competitions ahead the rest of the year. Keep it going Team Leaders......you are doing a fine job so far.

Okay people...........am back to some updates but this round not pictures la. Will capture some the next round.

Thank you to those who took time to visit me during CNY.........it is indeed my joy to see you guys. Irregardless if you are still in CLDR or have left CLDR.....you are always welcome. I treasure the friendship I build with all of you and you guys have been great.

CNY this year seems to be a little quieter compared to last year. Good time to be able to rest a little here and there and also catching up with relatives whom I only meet once a year....... (feel so bad about this)

Have you all noticed that the sound of fire-crackers are even more this year. It is awfully deafening and at the same time it looks lovely. One more round before the CNY ends this coming Sunday.

Thereafter, we should all be back full-swing to work and work and work.

Inspiring Story

Touching life story..... A young man was getting ready to graduate college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer's showroom, and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted. As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car. Finally, on the morning of his graduation his father called him into his private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautiful wrapped gift box. Curious, but somewhat disappointed the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible. Angrily, he raised his voice at his father and said, "With all your money you give me a Bible?" and stormed out of the house, leaving the holy book. Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business. He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old, and thought perhaps he should go to him. He had not seen him since that graduation day. Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take care things. When he arrived at his father's house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart. He began to search his father's important papers and saw the still new Bible, just as he had left it years ago. With tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. As he read those words, a car key dropped from an envelope taped behind the Bible. It had a tag with the dealer's name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words...PAID IN FULL. How many times do we miss God's blessings because they are not packaged as we expected?

I was downstairs at the Junior Class for Chapel and was so encouraged by what was shared by the speaker. Her topic was on MAD - MAKE A DIFFERENCE. I wonder sometimes how we live our life : as I always tell my students : Is it Que Sera Sera, whatever will be will be? Or Do we live a purposeful life that is pleasing to the Lord. That is what MAKES THE DIFFERENCE. We are only on this planet earth once in our lifetime. Why not we make an impact to people around us? Think about it.

We have to remember, God already knows what we want and what we are in need of. He's the One who put those desires in us. We shouldn't be consumed by trying to make things happen. It saddens my heart so much when you want to help a student and the student choose to walk away and refuse to be help. I often wonder, "Do I even want to bother with students like that?" The more I ponder, the answer becomes clearer...........I CANNOT GIVE UP.........(although the thought is so tempting). So long as the student is still with me, I must not give up offering my help even though he cannot be bothered with his studies. Since Christ did not give up on me...........likewise, I must do the same. I need God's help.......can't do it myself.

Every week passes by so fast. Just when I thought I wrote "Monday" on the whiteboard and now it is already Friday. Has it been a fruitful week? Have we achieved what we desire to achieve? Next week is already the 5th week of our 10 week semester. Time just pass by so fast. Therefore, we need to use our time wisely as time past can't be re-winded. We are taught to be good steward of the time that is given to us.

Yeah.....so it is Friday and we have our Chapel. I suppose a spiritual dosage for us to take home for the weekend and digest upon it.

Seniors were taught the importance of this verse and I have personally been blessed by the sharing as well. The Juniors had their very interesting sharing by Pastor Catherine talking about being kind to others. Praise the Lord for fruitful sessions and as the Word of God says, His Word that has been shared forth will not return to Him void. Therefore, work on it people.

It is so wonderful to be able to read the journals that Senior classes ( both Dunamis and Sunergeo) are doing. It warms my heart to read of great lessons that you learned during Devotion. Some of you really gave very good, deep thoughts into what you had learned and journal it. It is truly worth taking that 5 to 10 minutes to journal your thoughts. Take just a small amount of time out of every day to write.

In the midst of journaling, you will soon discover more about yourself too.When you write, try not to think too much about it. Just let the pen move and the writing flow. You might feel like some days you are only writing nonsense. If you go back and read what you’ve written you’ll see underneath yourself why you do the things you do and why you are the way you are.
Continue to journal and discover the wonders of it as you put into practice.

Hi all

Looking at the comments made in the Chatbox makes me reminisce my own friendship made long time ago. Friends come and go. It is the memories of good friendship that will stay with us for the rest of our lives.

Friendship isn't always easily described. The Eskimos, they say, have a hundred different words for snow. Unfortunately, the English language isn't quite as innovative, though it has vast opportunities to differentiate meaning. Certainly, Love is one of those opportunities. And so, too, is Friendship.

Instead of different words, however, we're stuck with simple adjectives. Close friend. Best friend. Childhood friend. Intimate friend. Trusted friend. Beloved friend. But whether you use adjectives or different words, few could deny the nearly infinite meaning in such a simple word.

Friends are special people. We can't pick our family, and we're sorely limited in the number of them at any rate. Society and mores (and often our own conscience) dictate we select a single mate. But our friends can be as diverse and infinite as the adjectives we choose. Our friends, in a very real sense, reflect the choices we make in life.

Do choose your friends wisely and be of good, great influence to your friends.

CLDRians.............don't live in the PAST!!!! What is past are good memories for you to treasure and move on in life. That is what life is all about.

Ex-CLDRians..........you guys have been great and we do miss you all too. But as I say, life goes on. You move on and be the best where you are placed. God always has a purpose where He places us. So be a contributing factor wherever you are.

Life is CLDR is definitely not the same anymore. That is what made my life as a teacher so interesting. It is you students who add colors to my life. Day in and day out, I am answering the same questions, teaching the same stuff, but YOU STUDENTS are the one who makes the most difference in the lives of all your teachers.

As teachers, it is our utmost desire to see you performing academically and more so character change during your years with CLDR. Teachers are only the hands and feet for Jesus. It is HE, our Lord Jesus Christ, who will bring upon the transformation in your life. Learn to submit to God and see your life transform

It is funny how we seems to be so unsatisfied / not contented with things around us, people around us. I often hear students saying " CLDR is not the same again. So and so is no longer here. So sian". Have we ever pondered if we want to live in "history" ? Why do we want to re-live the past when life keeps moving on. Good memories are meant to be cherish and good friendship can also be maintained after leaving school.

Up till now, I am still in contact with my University friends whom I knew many many years ago. People, good friendship you build in CLDR should be cherish and strengthen. You should be happy that your friends have moved on.

To those who have not completed your schooling in CLDR, continue with perseverance. Your time will come as well for you to leave. While you are still here, make use of your time wisely and contribute in whatever ways that you can.

Okay............I have posted more pictures today. I hope you have enjoyed them as well. CLDRians...........what is more important is that you get your LIFEPAC going yah? Remember the purpose your parents sent you to CLDR in the first place. Do your duty as a son and daughter of your parents. Make your parents proud of you, make your teachers proud of you.

I know I did not post up last year's Awards Night pictures. Seem to have misplaced my CD. Will try to look for it and will post it up when possible.

YEAR 2010

Hi all..........I know I have really been slagging in updating this blog. There are just too many things to do and too many things on my mind.

We have already finished Week 2 of Year 2010....now moving on to Week 3 of the first quarter. How time flies. It has not been too bad so far. New students, new faces and we are still getting to know each other. It is a joy to see all the students again. Every life in CLDR is sent by God and I know God has a reason why each and everyone of you are in CLDR. Sunergeo started the Journaling of Devotion. As I read some of the journals, my heart has been touched as well. Keep up the good work people.

On top of all these, we also have a Centre we can call OUR OWN!!!!! Finally......NO MORE MOVING EVER!!!!!!! Nice place but the only set back is there there aren't any big play area to run around and play "futsal". But overall, it is good change.

Tried uploading pictures but seems to encounter some problems . Will get it done another day.

Memories of 2009

Thank God for another good year in the Centre........although with much challenges but with God's enablement, we teachers survived for another year. I can only testify to say that it is only by the grace of God and nothing else. God has been so good to each and everyone of the student in CLDR and to all teachers.

Each and everyone of you has made a significance in every teacher's life. That is what makes our life colorful, I suppose. We are always teaching the same thing but you students are the ones that makes the difference in the centre and in the life of your teacher.

Consciously or unconsciously, many of you have at least made an impact in my life. To hear the encouraging testimonies from many of you has encourage me a lot. As as teacher, there are many things beyond which I can accomplish but only by God's wisdom, mercy and grace.

Zhan Peng, Mark Yu...........you guys are great la. Wish you all the best wherever you are and as I always say...........wherever you are 'KEEP THE FAITH, DO NOT FORGET WHAT THE LORD HAS DONE IN YOUR LIFE, GROW IN HIM"

As Zhan Peng shared in Chapel today, well, emotions just set into my heart. Everyone has to move on in life and these are good memories I will cherish. Thank you Zhan Peng for being such a great contributor in CLDR.

Awards Night 2009 - CHRISTMAS

Another year of memories - we live with good memories and bad memories - Awards Night is one GOOD MEMORY that will linger in our mind all our lives.

Awards Night was held on 14th November 2009. As the population of the school increased, the church could not contained all of the students in the church and on the stage. Therefore, this year, we have our Awards Night in the Hotel Sri Petaling.

The theme for Awards Night is : CHRISTMAS.

What a wonderful evening we had. We thank God that everything worked out well as planned. The items were excellent especially the Hand Mime by the Seniors - wow! that was awesome! Juniors danced were cute la. They make mistakes here and there but that is why they are called JUNIORS!

Student Council : great job, great team under the leadership of Ebbie. Thank you for holding the team together. I have to salute Jun for her creativity - from decoration to the coordinating the Hand Mime. That was an excellent job.

I have not receive pictures from our official photographer yet. Will post them up once I have them. Continue to savor this memories, CLDRians..................TEACHERS ARE PROUD OF ALL OF YOU!!!!!!!

Hi one and all.................lazy bug hit me and that explains why this blog was not updated. Anyhow, just want to say that all CLDRians are preparing for that time of the year we call AWARDS NIGHT! It is the night to honour our students who have worked very hard throughout the year and honour them with medals, trophies etc.

All CLDRians are so busy preparing for the event. It is truly that time of the year to get busy, busy, busy........teachers are busy, students are busy and at the same time...........Lifepac work must keep going............stressssssssssssss...........................Having said that, we all do look forward to the long holidays that is coming up..............the best time of the year ( at least for me)............the feeling of not having to wake up early, catching up on things that was suppose to be done moons ago, catching up with friends , busy with church activities aka......VBS, mission trip...............talk about holidays...........is this holiday? Well, to some it may not be but again, you can't be sitting around and lazing around whole day doing NOTHING!!!!

So work hard people, your effort will be rewarded. God bless

Another piece of news : Last Saturday CLDR participated in the Inter-Centre Badminton Tournament. The following are medals that was clinched :

Under 18 singles : Shem Cheah - Bronze Medal

Under 15 singles : Peyedro Ng - Silver Medal

Under 15 singles : Chew Le Huey - Gold Medal

As for the Juniors, as usual the twins (Lok Kin and Lok Hong) met each other in the Finals and one of them clinch Gold and another Silver.
